The Y.A.L.E School has been a blessing for my son. Finally, he is in a place where he is understood and can thrive and be successful being himself. The teachers are patient and knowledgeable and my son has flourished in his short time there. If it were up to him he would be going to school seven days a week! — Sharon C.
The Y.A.L.E. School’s Williamstown campus, located just off the Atlantic City Expressway, serves students 5 to 21 years of age with emotional and behavioral difficulties and specific learning and/or multiple disabilities. Some students may have a clinical diagnosis of anxiety disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D.), mood, personality, obsessive-compulsive, or oppositional-defiant disorders, and/or specific learning disability. Most struggle with effective relationships with peers and adults.
Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the art educational technology, including computers and software for each student. The school has a well-equipped visual arts and graphic design laboratory, allowing students to develop marketable skills while encouraging them to express themselves.
Students 14 years of age and older receive individualized transition services to prepare them for life after graduation. The program’s intensive school-to-work curriculum includes vocational planning and support, job skills training and mentoring, and practical on-the-job experience in the community.

The admissions coordinator at each campus makes individual admissions decisions, but the application and referral process follow a standard multi-step process. Click here to learn more about our admissions process.
